  • INTSOK Project Review 2009

INTSOK assigned Douglas Westood the challenging task of reviewing the portfolio of development projects in our Main and Other Priority markets in light of today’s financial crisis. In the report, Douglas-Westwood forsees that oil price will rise in the mid to long term as a function of reducing supply and increasing demand from developing economies such as India and China.
Further offshore expenditure in the INTSOK markets is expected to fall slightly in 2009 by 3% or $4.8 billion compared to 2008.  This fall in expenditure is due in part to deflation in raw materials, equipment and services pricing.
INTSOK partners should find this report a useful read for planning and prioritizing their market strategies in 2009-2010.
