    The PETROSAM programme spans over a six-year period from 2007 to 2012, and has an overall budgetary framework of NOK 80 million. The Conference on the 7th of November 2012 was meant to be the final event, but the government has decided to extend the programme to 2018.

    Saudi Aramco organized a Technology Quest for more than 170 invited representatives from universities, institutions and companies in Aberdeen 10th - 12th October 2011. INTSOK was present as we have been discussing organizing a similar event in Norway next year.

    Saudi Aramco has listed 6 focus areas for their R&D, and they are extremely interested in getting input and ideas from external sources.
    The focus areas are:
    - Geophysics. Seismic Acquisition and Processing
    - Geology Technology
    - Production Technology
    - Drilling Technology Challenges
    - Computational Modelling Technology
    - Reservoir Engineering Technology

    All the presentations from Saudi Aramco has been made available to INTSOK, and we have been allowed to distribute them to our partners.
